We wish to inform our customers that the Central Accounts Registry (“CAR”) has been established by the Bank of Mauritius pursuant to section 52A of the Bank of Mauritius Act 2004 and the Banking Act 2004.

The CAR is intended to assist in the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of money laundering, terrorism financing and other financial crimes.

As a licensed and regulated financial institution, ABC Banking  (the “Bank”) is required by law to submit information relating to accounts maintained by its customers to the CAR.

In this regard, please note that in accordance with section 52A(1)(b) of the Bank of Mauritius Act 2004, the Information submitted by the Bank to the CAR is limited to information on accounts maintained by customers, other than customer account balances and amounts held in those accounts. Accordingly, customer account balances and amounts held in those accounts are not submitted to the CAR.

Effective as from 23 April 2026.
