3. Eligible Transactions and Eligible Cross-Border Spend
3.1 For the purposes of this Campaign, an “Eligible Transaction” means a cross-border purchase made in-store (card-present) or online (card-not-present) using an Eligible Card during the Campaign Period. “Eligible Cross-Border Spend” means the total value of all Eligible Transactions accumulated during the Campaign Period.
3.2 To qualify as an Eligible Transaction, the transaction must be successfully authorised, processed and posted to an Eligible Card account during the Campaign Period.
3.3 Mastercard and ABC Banking reserve the right to exclude any transaction that is considered or is suspected to be fraudulent, invalid, reversed, refunded, disputed or inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions.
3.4 ABC Banking’s records and determination of Eligible Transactions, stars accumulated, winner ranking, eligibility for participation in the Campaign and eligibility to receive a prize shall, save in the case of manifest error or fraud, be final and binding
3.5 “Stars” means the stars earned by an Eligible Cardholder based on Eligible Cross-Border Spend in accordance with clause 4.2.
How the Campaign works
4.1 An Eligible Cardholder will earn stars through Eligible Transactions made during the Campaign Period.
4.2 An Eligible Cardholder earns one (1) Star after accumulating Eligible Cross-Border Spend of MUR 5,500 and one (1) additional Star for every further MUR 1,500 of Eligible Cross-Border Spend accumulated thereafter during the Campaign Period.
4.3 Eligible Cross-Border Spend may be accumulated across multiple Eligible Transactions during the Campaign Period.
4.4 An Eligible Cardholder reaches the winning threshold upon accumulating 100 stars during the Campaign Period.
Winner Determination and Prizes
5.1 A total of nine (9) Eligible Cardholders will be selected as winners for the Campaign.
5.2 The first nine (9) Eligible Cardholders to reach 100 stars during the Campaign Period will be selected as provisional winners, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
The prize allocation is:
1st to 3rd Winners – Laptop
4th to 6th Winners – Television
7th to 9th Winners – Watch
5.3 If fewer than nine (9) Eligible Cardholders reach 100 stars by the end of the Campaign Period, the remaining winner positions will be awarded to the Eligible Cardholders with the highest number of stars accumulated, ranked in descending order.
5.4 Where two or more Eligible Cardholders accumulate the same number of stars, priority shall be given to the Eligible Cardholder who first attained the relevant stars total, based on ABC Banking’s records.
5.5 Each winner will receive one (1) prize. The prize awarded to each verified winner will be randomly allocated from the available prize pool. Random allocation applies only to the type of prize awarded and does not determine winner selection.
5.6 The prize pool comprises laptops, televisions and watches. The exact make, model specifications and allocation of prizes are subject to availability and will be confirmed by Mastercard and ABC Banking.
5.7 An Eligible Cardholder may win no more than one (1) prize during the Campaign.
Winner Verification, Notification and Prize Fulfilment
6.1 The Campaign is sponsored and administered by MasterCard. ABC Banking shall verify the eligibility of the provisional winners identified under Clause 5, notify verified winners, collect any information reasonably required for prize fulfilment and distribute prizes.
6.2 If a winner cannot be contacted, declines a prize, fails to provide information reasonably required for verification or fulfilment, or is subsequently determined to be ineligible, the prize shall be forfeited and may be awarded to the next highest-ranked Eligible Cardholder.
6.3 Mastercard will not receive, collect, process or store customer personal information for prize fulfilment purposes. Any personal information collected in connection with the Campaign shall be processed by ABC Banking in accordance with applicable laws and ABC Banking’s Privacy Notice and shall be used solely for the administration of the Campaign and prize fulfilment purposes.
6.4 Prizes are not transferable, refundable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Mastercard may substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value where necessary.
