Reporting to the ALM Manager and operating within the bank and regulation guidelines, policies, and other requirement, the ALM Lead will be responsible to lead the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) desk. The job holder will be responsible for driving process improvements and operational excellence across the department and determine the best practice using various emerging technologies.
Balance Sheet Strategy & Optimization
Develop and execute strategies leveraging the bank’s balance sheet modelling framework.
Support optimisation of the balance sheet to enhance profitability and structural efficiency.
Lead initiatives related to product pricing and competitor pricing analysis.
Liquidity, Funding & Interest Rate Risk Management
Ensure effective management of liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk exposures.
Conduct simulations and scenario analysis to assess balance sheet resilience under stress conditions.
Propose proactive measures to mitigate balance sheet risks before they materialise.
Ensure the balance sheet remains resilient under stressed and adverse market scenarios.
ALCO Support & Decision-Making Analytics
Produce operational and strategic dashboards to support ALCO decision-making.
Develop and execute data-driven strategies to optimise and preserve net interest income (NII), supported by active and ongoing monitoring of the Bank’s cost of funds and rate of return, gap identification, and the proposal of appropriate remedial actions.
Provide analysis to support proactive balance sheet management decisions.
Oversee the Bank’s investment book, ensuring alignment with liquidity, profitability, and risk management objectives.
Risk Governance & Compliance
Ensure all balance sheet management activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Treasury, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated balance sheet oversight.
Support implementation of remedial actions based on risk assessments and regulatory expectations.
