Founded in 1931 by Sir Moilin Jean Ah Chuen, the ABC Group of companies is one of the largest conglomerates in Mauritius. Ranked among the Top 100 business organisations of the Indian Ocean, the Group has built a strong reputation through decades of sustainable growth and diversification.
Today, the ABC Group operates across five core divisions, each contributing to the Group’s regional and international presence.
Our Core Divisions
Automobile
The Automobile Division is the most diversified arm of the ABC Group. It markets a wide range of passenger and commercial vehicles, tyres, car appearance products and related services such as service centres and fleet management solutions. The Group is also the sole distributor of internationally recognised brands including Nissan, Porsche, Fiat and Alfa Romeo.
Financial Services
The Financial Services Division delivers comprehensive solutions to private and corporate clients, institutional clients, retail investors and individuals. Operating across Mauritius, Seychelles and Kenya, the division offers financing and leasing solutions, corporate services, insurance services, investment advisory, wealth management and capital markets expertise.
Foods
ABC Foods Division manufactures Chinese and Oriental foodstuffs while distributing a wide portfolio of local and international food brands. Its products, including frozen foods, are supplied to wholesalers, retail outlets, hotels and supermarkets across the region.
Shipping and Logistics
A key division since 1982, ABC Shipping and Logistics provides logistics services and a wide range of transport solutions by sea and air, connecting markets from and to all parts of the world.

ABC Banking, the banking arm of the ABC Group, brings together traditional banking values and innovative financial solutions. This strategic expansion reinforces the Group’s long term commitment to delivering trusted and forward looking banking solutions in Mauritius.

1931
The first shop, ABC Store, was opened by Sir Jean Moilin Ah-Chuen near the entrance of the Central Market in Port Louis. ABC Store stands for “Au Bazar Central” or “Aux Bonnes Choses”.
Expansion of business in cold storage, foods imports, wholesale, general distribution: Chue Wing & Co. (today ABC Foods)

Creation of an Insurance Agency: Good Harvest, the main accredited agent of Mauritius Union Assurance.
Creation of Oriental Foods and Union Shipping.
1982

Incorporation of Speedfreight Ltd, a company specialised in freight forwarding.
Diversification in Automobile Industry with the dealership of Nissan vehicles.

- Manufacture of coaches and buses : ABC Coach Works.
- Cars and coaches for hire : ABC Car Rental.
Creation of ABC Marketing Ltd, trading as TyreXpert, a company specialized in the importation and distribution of quality tyres.

- Establishment of ABC Finance & Leasing.
- Dealership of Fiat and Alfa Romeo : ABC Autotech.
Creation of Ginza Motors, a second hand imported vehicle dealership, and QuikFix, a maintenance specialist garage for all makes/models of vehicles

Incorporation of ABC Global Management Services, a company specialized in offshore business in Mauritius
Creation of ABC Logistics, a company specialised in transport and logistics services.

Incorporation of ABC International (Seychelles) Limited, a licensed international corporation service provider based in Seychelles.
Creation of FleetLeader : a company specialised in fleet & vehicle management services that offers full maintenance lease solutions.

- ABC Leasing obtains the license to operate as a Bank and changes name to become ABC Banking Corporation.
- Creation of Xin Motors: official and exclusive distributor of JMC Vehicles (Jiangling Motors Corporation).
- Creation of Paragon Motors: official distributor of DFAC Trucks, Howo Trucks and Hangcha Forklifts.
- ABC Foods opens new headquarters & distribution center at Trianon.
- ABC Capital Markets and Expert Leasing reinforce the Financial Services Cluster.
- Creation of Stuttgart Motors, the sole distributor of Porsche in Mauritius

Creation of ABC BPO, a company specialised in Business Process Outsourcing Premium Brands, a company that offers sourcing and trading services, is launched
- ABC Automobile Cluster starts operating in Mozambique.
- Creation of the Sir J. Moilin Ah-Chuen Foundation, the CSR entity of ABC Group of Companies.
- Grand opening of ABC Car Gallery and Porsche Centre at Phoenix.
- Speed freight launches the SFL Ecological Car Hub: a secure parking hub equipped with a Quik Fix vehicle service center and car wash facilities.
2013
2014
ABC Banking Corporation moves to its own premises at WEAL House, Duke of Edinburg Avenue, Place d’Armes, Port Louis, in the heart of the country’s financial centre.
Incorporated in 2015, Monte Cristo Automobile Ltd, trading as CleanPower Solutions, is a company specialised in the supply and installation of chargers for electric vehicles, and in the provision and installation of photo-voltaic panels and structures for the production of solar energy from rooftops of homes and industries

ABC Banking Corporation enters the Development and Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. ABC Motors launches the Eicher brand in Mauritius
ABC Banking Corporation opens a representation office in Hong Kong and makes the acquisition of Plantation House and ex-Merven building. The same year, ABC Banking becomes the first bank to launch the UnionPay Diamond Card in Africa. As part of its continuous expansion, the automobile cluster launches the first roadside assistance service in Mauritius, ABC Assistance Automobile (AAA).
2017
2018
ABC Shipping & Logistics inaugurates the USL Caudan Centre, a parking facility that can accommodate up to 250 vehicles and that caters for people with disabilities. The same year, ABC Autotech moves to its new state-of-the-art showroom, opposite ABC Centre at Military Road, Port Louis.
Prague Auto Company Limited, the official distributor of Škoda vehicles in Mauritius is launched. ABC Automobile launches Giant Bicycles Mauritius, a company that offers a wide range of bicycles, from entry level to high-end models. ABC Banking opens a Representation Office in Dubai. ABC Group acquires United Chemists Ltd, a company which is licensed to operate in the import and distribution of pharmaceutical and para-pharmaceutical products.
2021
2023
ABC Automobile becomes the exclusive dealer of Chery vehicles in Mauritius.
ABC Group is pleased to announce the launch of a new insurance brokerage company, namely Safelane Insurance Brokers. ABC Shipping & Logistics launched its brand new warehousing center, Warehouse 101 by ABC. ABC Automobile has expanded to Rodrigues, officially launching during an open house on 18–19 October, and presenting the island’s first full-service automotive one-stop shop.
